This paper describes two ways of mapping. The first way is using sonar and the results of it are 2D maps and the second way is using kinect sensor and the results of it are 3D maps. This work involved manually navigation that is operating by using mobile robot with sonar or kinect sensor for mapping. The aim of this paper is to make comparison between the results of mapping by using kinect sensors with results mapping by using sonar
